ClearWriter adds Fascinating Features and Gentle Grammar

Communications Development has added two new courses to its ClearWriter suite of writing improvement tools and training.

Fascinating Features is a primer on journalists' techniques. Feature writing has long been the province of journalists, but government agencies, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and others also have found it an effective way to communicate with large and diverse audiences. Whether you’re writing a newspaper or magazine story, a press release, a newsletter, or a report, feature-writing methods will make your writing easier to read and more entertaining. As a result, it will have a better chance to make a lasting impression on readers.

Gentle Grammar for the Timid and Terrified is a refresher series on basic grammar. It focuses on the eight parts of speech—nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions, and interjections—and the main pieces of sentences—clauses, subjects, predicates, objects of verbs, complements, phrases, and objects of prepositions.
