Communications Development Incorporated releases ClearEdits 3.0

Spring 2004
Communications Development has just released ClearEdits® 3.0, writing improvement software that works with Microsoft® Word and Outlook®.

ClearEdits suggests improvements in clarity and readability in a fraction of the time it takes to edit unassisted. ClearEdits’ intuitive interface makes improving writing fast, easy, and even fun. Far more than a grammar checker, ClearEdits helps writers cut unnecessary words, lighten overweight phrases, strengthen weak verbs, and much, much more.

Version 3.0 extends and improves ClearEdits’ already powerful features. Users can now add elements from their personal or corporate style preferences to “My Edits.” The predefined editors used by ClearEdits have also been refined, with better suggestions and fewer false positives. ClearEdits’ quantitative assessment of the writing quality of each document (ClearScores) is now saved in a history file, making it a snap to track writing improvement. The new version is also more versatile. It can be used to assess only the highlighted part of a document or it can be set to use British spelling.

ClearEdits (http://www.clearedits.com) is part of the ClearWriter® suite of products for effective business and professional writing. ClearWriter includes instructor-led workshops, web-based courses, and ClearEdits software (see http://www.clearwriter.com for more information).
